S3 Virge PCI (325) accelerated to 3D

I have Windows 95/98 and recently purchased a game that will not run. It requrires 3D hardware accelerated, Direct 3D compatable video card. My computer an older packard bell platinum pro 650, and it states on it, it has 3d Graphics/video accelator. I am new to this world, is there an upgrage, free download, etc., to help me? What do I do? I am on a lmited budget as a caregiver, so I would really appreciated any help.
