salvage files in small business server

I am familiar with Novell 4, and the salvage files feature it has for those files accidently deleted by the user on the server. Does the W2K small business server have the similiar option for users? A consultant has told me no, that files can only be recovered from a prior nites backup, not salvaged as NDS does. I find that hard to believe.
