Samsung 250gb SATA HD shows capacity of only 48.8gb

I have a Samsung 250gb SATA HD that shows its capacity at only 48.8gb. I’ve tried formatting and re-formatting the drive along with various disk checks for errors – no solution has been reached.

I was wondering if anyone was/has experienced this problem and any solutions or advice they have to resolve it. If more info is needed then please leave a amiable request for more.
