samsung dvd

i just finished putting together a system and the dvd player isn’t recognized on any channel. I put it on ide1 with the hd it isn’t recognized. i put it on ide2 the samething. But when i put it in my other computer it is recognized on the first boot. any help would be greatly appreciated and have a blessed day.
