SAS serial attached SCSI.

Hello to all,

We are currently looking at purchasing a file server that will host about 1TB of data. In the past we have always used RAID cards with Ultra SCSI drives, but I am hearing a lot about SAS controller + SAS drives. Does anyone know how good these products are? Are they good for a DB where there would be a lot of reads and writes? Do they compare to the RAID card + Ultra SCSI’s combination?
