SATA DVD Burner on a Asus A8V Motherboard ?

I have 5 IDE hard drives and one CD/DVD drive installed on my Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard. (The Promise Raid controller is configured to IDE). The board has 2 additional SATA ports that I am not using. Can I install a SATA DVD burner to one of the SATA ports?
