Recently the icons on my desktop have begun to grow steadily more “scratched out” for lack of a better description. The effect is something like the silver coating over the numbers of a lottery ticket, which one would scratch away with one’s fingernail or a coin, except here it is the program icons on my desktop. IBM Tech Support said it sounded like a virus to them, but I’ve run both Norton and OnTrack virus scans and turned up nothing. It started with onnly a few icons and has steadily spreadto many others over the last several days. Hardware Diagnostics on my computer reveal that there is something amiss with my video card, but I can’t tell precisely what. Has anyone heard of these symptoms before, and a virus and/or vidoe card problemthat might have produced them? Thank you very much in advance
