Screen is blank and computer won’t boot

Hello,
I have an Atlas Microsystem computer with a Biostar (M7MIA) motherboard running Windows 2000. I did not install anything (software or hardware) and I didn’t change any configurations. For some reason, out of the blue, my computer would not reboot. It just sits there beeping over and over and there is no signal getting to my monitor either. The system will not go past the POST. Does this sound like my Mobo is fried or is it my CPU…or could it be both? Also, how could I narrow down the exact point of failure? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
