Screen Volumne Considerations

by entawanabi . Updated 20 years, 4 months ago

In our High Tech world of used equipment and partted together equipment as well as brand new equipment I’ve run into a situation that is noval to me: It turns out that a local has a ‘slow’ operating on on of its wares, it is partted together too, turns out it is written for a certain size screen. Now I’m not sure what the minimum size is but I am sure that the width and heigth of the screen are okay, turns out the depth of the screen is, has to be, the problem. It, the screen, is one of the newwer shallow depth screens and thus it may not be able to run it at any sort of appreciable speed. On an old nineteen inch CRT it works great and the thing it was chopped out of is for a nineteen inch monitor; CRT?!

To solve I got the local systems person to retire several things to a less volumne occupying state outy of the way and it works somewhat faster, but still not as fast as in the nineteen inch CRT, and no it does not seem to have been written for CRT alone.
