SDLT-600 & DLT VS-160 compability

Hi,is SDLT-600 or DLT VS-160 Tape Drive can read/write a tape that previously wrote by DLT 40/80 Tape Drive.Cos my existing one (DLT 40/80) is defects and really need to restore all the previous data. I planned to buy new ones (SDLT-600 or DLT VS-160)but can decide which one is the right ones.FYI,I’ve checked with my local vendors and been told that DLT 40/80 Tape Drive has been discontinued by Hewlett Packard.
