Searches in Xp are VERY slow!!!

Has anyone noticed that searches withing Xp are very slow. I have a user that often searches for cad files on the network. It takes XP 20 to 30 seconds to complete its search whereas it takes NT 4.0 only 2 seconds. Launching his cad drawings from the network take again 20 to 30 seconds, sometimes even more. NT takes only 3-5 seconds. I have the latest drivers installed for the network card but still no sign of improvement.

Can anyone tell me what this problem might be? It happens to all thexp machines we have within the company.
