serial ata hard drive

My pc hard drive die ,looking for replacement its a wd2500jd ,can i replace it with a Western Digital Caviar SE16 320Gb ,this runs fast 300MB/s instaed of 150 and has a 16 MB cache , instead of the 8 on mine ,would this hard drvive be a straight swap.cheers for any advise.
