I have been trying to troubleshoot this on my own but negative!
I have a window 2000 platform and window SERVER 2000. Acting as the adminstrator in which 4 employees are under you/me.
My question is that How do I configure the server(2000) suchthat
(1) a particular employee is only allowed to view a document without editing the document at all. STRICTLY VIEW ONLY! e.g if he / she open Excell program on his / her workstation, his / her will not be allowed to add nor delete any information from the program neither can he /she save the document. Changing the permission does not seem to cut it.
(2)How do I configure the server such that I can monitor the printing of any of these documents at any point in time. I will like to know whoprinted WHAT AND AT WHAT TIME IT HAPPENED. kIND OFPERFORMING AN AUDIT ON THE PRINTER!
(3) If I have to buy any special program that will enable me to TRACK whoever printed any of the documents at any point in time, could you recommend one/do you know any one. I do not mind buying such program.
