server 2000 and ftp

I have a friend who has set up a 2000 web server for access to a personal web page. Every thing is working great but the FTP section of the server. He can not use it or get it to work. He has a full version of 2000 server with 10 seats and is running on dsl. Any tips, tricks or help? Is there a MS link or help for 2000 server out there?
