server lockout

We have a windows 2000 sp2 server that is malfunctioning. We use it to run our intranet. We had moved it to a server rack and attached it to a kvm switch. When I rebooted, neither the keyboard nor the mouse work, but you can access the intranet.I moved the pc back to its prior location but the mouse and keyboard still are not functioning. They actually work during the POST, but by the time I see the starting windows 2000 screen and would boot into safe mode, the keyboard no longer functions. Both the KVM and all keyboards/mice worked previously with other machines. The KVM is currently working with other machines. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
