server not available to service request

i have a branch which is connected to my office via a vpn, everything is working correctly.
my problem is, one of the machines is suddenly comming up w/ the following error when tring to map a drive “THERE ARE NO LOGON SERVERS AVAILABLE TO SERVICE THAT REQUEST” now i check the msoft knowlege base and it only talks about a trusted domain, which doesnt apply since it is all one domain. i have tumbstoned here accounts in wins, ran jetpack and also put a static mapping for the pc in wins and it doesnt work. any ideas would be helpful the server is nt4 and the client is 2k-pro
