Services

I am currently running Windows 2000 Server and i tried to open up my disk manager through Computer management but it would not open after doing some troubleshooting i realised that that was not the only thing i could not open from there System information would not finish refreshing when opened up. I went ahead and checked my services and i realised that my Logical Disk Management Service was staring up. (start up option Automatic).It tries to start up but stays in the starting state , i have tried rebooting the server but it still doesnt work. I checked my task manager and the process this service run is always hung. What should i do to get this service started.
