services.exe gone haywire

My user has a dual processor system running Win2K pro. Services.exe keeps using 50-100% processor power after he uninstalled a program. in task manager, nothing is using power but services.exe. Services.exe is set to normal priority. Any way to see what services.exe is using considering that no program shows processor usage? System runs Slooooooow.
