Setting up a Windows 98 SE home network

I have two desktop PC’s both with win98 se on them.
Both computers are connected to the internet via a cable modem which in turn is connected to a hub. I have two cables that then run to the respective pc’s.I have sygates firewall on both computers.

How do I network these two pc’s. What steps do I need to follow in order to achieve this.
