I need some info on how to setup additional Domain Controller in Windows 2000 domain.
I already have one DC running Active Directory Services on domain evs.com that authenticates users & works fine. I need to have a backup DC (like a BDC in NT).
I have installed one more Windows 2000 Server & when I try to add Active Dir in it says “Active Driectory Operation Failed !!!! Failed finding a suitable Domain Controller for domain evs.com !!! The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted”.
I can ping the first DC etc. Probable fault is somewhere in DNS. What steps do I need to follow in detail to have this second DC up & have it running plus authenticating / backing up / synchronising users.
