Setup error messages.

I’ve tried a couple of times to setup Win98SE on one particular system. But on each attempt, I get the following error info displays(in order):
1) “Invalid True Type Font Detected”;
2) “SUWIN caused a General Protection Fault in module KRNL386.EXEat 0001:7D8F.”

And, finally (back at the DOS prompt), I get “Bad fault in DOS Extender.”

The computer is a P233MMX/10GB desktop with 2 partitions. No error reports are generated by the Microsoft Scandisk utility.

I wonder what the problem might be. Would I be wrong to suspect the hard drive?
