Setup SP6a running forever

I update our production NT server from sp4 to sp6a. The process seem fine until the final stage “Please wait for the service pack setup update your system file” This already took more than 5 hours and still running. Any one have any sugestion ??? Please help
(This is HP LH3 Dual 400 Mhz CPU)
