Several PCs losing time

We have several PCs that lose time each day. There is no rhyme or reason except they are all Compaqs. When we boot, the time is resynced and correct. Yet if we let them run, they lose time at different rates. Anyone else notice this or know why? Is there a fix? Some PCs are attched to time clocks, so it can be more than an anoyance.
