Sharing Applications on Win XP

I recently installed Win XP Pro on my home PC (fresh install, was using Win NT 4.0, new to XP).

I created an Admin account (Administrator didn’t seem to allow me login access). I used the Admin account to install MS Office and other such products. I created a personal account for me (with admin privs). I created other accounts (user type) for wife, etc. The User level accounts were not able to see / use MS Word and other such applications.

I granted them Admin to get past the problem as a short term solutiion.

What do I need to do to give them access from a user level?

Under what topic(s) would one search in Win XP help to find a soltuion to this question?
