sharing server resources without a login

by jmstitt . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

I use a virtual CD-ROM software called Phantom CD. Currently the disk images are stored on a Win 98 2nd Edition machine I am using as a server. I have been using Win98 because it requires no login to access the disk images. When a client running the Phantom CDs boot, it uses UNC to mount the virtual CDs stored on the Win98 server automatically. I want to move the images to a Windows 2000 server, but, the images won’t mount automatically. I believe it to be a permissions or rights problem.I need the Windows 2000 server to allow the same ability for the client machines to access the disk images automatically no matter what — Thanks
