Shutdown problem in Windows ME

System has Athlon 1 GHZ, 128 MB, 20 GB
Has anyone any experience of solving shutdown problems in Windows ME? Sometimes gives a Windows Protection Error. Sometimes system crashes on shutdown screen. In System Info under problem devices is listed ACPI IRQ holder for PCI IRQ steering – error code 22. What does that mean?
