Simultaneous Domain-Workgroup Access

I have a network of mobile users equipped with laptops. These users are members of our corporate domain. Frequently, several users will be meeting at a customer’s site and need to establish a workgroup to share files. The problem is that this blows away the Windows 2000 domain settings. I need to find a way to have local connectivity for file sharing without removing the domain settings.
