Site Server Searches

I have Site server installed on a windows 2000 server. I have created virtual directories of folders i want to index. I then created catalogs with web crawl. The searches work fine if I log in as a Domain admin, but if I log in as a users who has rights to that folder my search comes up empty. Am i puttin the rights in wrong place. Also when the user logs in they can see all the catalogs.
