SMB Broadcast Explanation Wanted

Using SMS’s network monitoring tool I have discovered a single server (NT 4.0 – Exch 5.5) broadcasting a lot of SMB traffic. I can’t seem to find any details on exactly what this traffic is or if it should be occuring. The description is listed as”c transact, File = \MAILSLOT\BINDERY”. Any details would be appreciated.
