SMNT40

Hello

My question is, some of the winnt workstation boxes get an error “one of services has failed to start… bla bla”.
When I got to check in the logs it says that the SMNT40 servise has failed to start. I tried to go to devices and starting it manually but I get a message Error0031: A device attached to the system is not functioning.

What could me the problem, if my memory serves me right the SMNT40 has something to do with mail protocol, I could be wrong though

Please help
