SMS 2.0 and SQL 2000

I am trying to install in a test invironment SMS and SQL 2000. I am running Win2000 AS w/ sp2, dual Xeon 2.2 w/ 1gb mem. During the SMS setup, I need to have SQL installed (it is) and it checks for whick version (options are 6.5 and 7.0). I check 7.0, but I am actually using 8.0.
I need a work around to get the SMS server installed. Do I need to specify no SQL server? Manually install the Db later?

Any help would be great, as I know nothing on either subject
