Software suggestions accepted here… PLEASE!

Hi all you fellow techies. I’m looking for suggestions and comments regarding hard drive recovery software. I’m trying to decide which porgram to go with so and experience you might have (both good and bad) would be greatly appriciated! Go cheap? go expensive? is it worth the investment?!? Let me know your thoughts…
