Someone brought in an older Packard Bell computer to me with a common problem. “I forgot my BIOS password.” Naturally my first thought was to disconnect the CMOS battery and it would reset it.
After searching the board for a half hour without finding the battery, I located a manual for the computer, which told me that the battery is built into a chip which is soldered to the board. So then I located the “CMOS Clear” jumper which I tried with no luck. Please Help.
Computer: Packard Bell Pentium 60
