Good morning,
I recently had someone contact me about a simple task of restoring Windows 09 on their older ’99 Sony Vaio laptop. Everything went smooth. The next day he called me back stating that it wouldn’t shut down. I returned to his place and took a look and sure enough, the laptop will shut down, make a windows sound (not the startup or shut down), and reboot. I took the laptop back with me, searched around online to come up with no answers, so I restored Windows again. This time I had it for an entire day, periodically starting the system up and shutting it down again. Not 3 hours later, he calls again and it’s not shutting down again.
As far as my knowledge is, the only thing he has installed on this laptop is 2WIRE networking software, and Yahoo Messanger. My tech skills are still in the beginner stage, so I am lost for what to tell him. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
