Sound Card/Graphics Card Problem

I have a problem with shared IRQs. I have a Jaton i740AGP video card, and a Soundblaster PCI128 Sound card. When I boot to Windows 2000, it locks up trying to load the sound driver because it insists on sharing an IRQ between the sound card and video card. I tried disabling the assign IRQ to VGA in the BIOS, and it still hangs. I tried locking out that IRQ, and it just assigns both to a different IRQ. Is there any way to tell Windows NOT to allow ANY shared IRQs?
