Sound card trouble

I am trying to install a Turtle Beach Montego soundcard(PCI) in my old P133 Windows 95 PC. Once I have detected and installed it (drivers included)I restarted the Pc like I should, the Windows Protection Error comes up which will not allow Win95 to boot up. The only way I can get win95 again is to go into safe mode and remove the troubled soundcard. Once that is removed, I am able to run my PC mormally, w/o the soundcard of course.
How can I installed my soundcard properly.
