Sound cards

by shanghai sam . Updated 24 years, 6 months ago

I recently installed an external “ELSA Microlink 56K Intenet” modem. It works great as a modem, but I have no sound.I use amplified speakers.

My previous modem had no seperate sound card and I wonder if I need to add one now. It also did not haveany wires attached to it.

I am using Win 95 on a IBM 350-P130 computer.

The “MultiMedia properties” screen does not show the box highlighted in order to put the volune control on the taskbar.I wonder if this means I need a new sound card?

Also under “Other Devices” I show “Audio for Elsa Voice Modem Serial Wave Device”

Is there some way that I can verify that I need a new sound card ?

Thanks for any help’

Warren
