sounds

I recently downloaded Spinner and the nextday had NO SOUND at all. Checked email
sounds,window sounds,control panel/sounds and multimedia,name it. At about this time I noticed RealPlayer was no longer on my PC.
How it got deleted is a mystery. Deleted
Spinner and reinstalled RealPlayer and Spinner. Still no luck. The PC is 6 mos old
and it is possible that a sound card went out-but how was RealPlyer deleted without affecting something else.Can I check a sound card out someway? Thanks.
