Specified Netrwork Name not Available

Hello,

When I try to write (on a shared drive) big files (more than 1Gb) I receive ALWAYS the error (title one) and the write fails after few seconds. The connection seems ok (around 60% use of the 100Mb) for 2-3 sec. and then drops to very low (less than 1 %) :-$ !

I tried with small files it’s ok (around 1Mb).

I have a T60 with a built in XP pro 2002 license.
I use it some time in my home network to write big files (more than 1Gb) on a shared hard drive.
On my wife laptop (Dell and XP family) she could acess easily in write way (all sizes tried successfully).
The problem seems a software pb on my laptop (as the shared internet connection is ok and reading also is ok).

Any idea ?
