speeddisk(nortonsystemworks) does not st

on a western digital caviar harddrive 33100 3.1 gb speedisk-defrag version of norton system works-
does not want to stop. runs 24 hours. what is wrong? it was not the first time. i had some troubles with this drive but setup whole drive from scratch(lowlevel etc.). windows millenium is setup.
