sql and level 2 memory cache

I have the next question,

We have a Compaq server 800, 512mb/ram – nt4 + sp5 – sql7
+ sp1

We want to get the outmost from this configuration.

Here comes the question:
We also want to use second level cache memory.
You can set this in the register as shown below:
Register hklm – system – currentcontrolset – control –
session manager –
MemoryManagement -secondleveldatacache.

Who can tell us how this performs, faster, better, makes
nothing ???
