SQL client

I am not to familiar with SQL servers or clients. I am having a problem installing the client for SQL 7.0 on windows 2000. The software company that i need the client for is not very helpful. The support person that has been asigned to my incident has tried several things with no success. She is telling me that i need a 32-bit ODBC driver for windows 2000. Please tell me where to find one and how to install.
