SQL Programming for Microsoft Access

I would like to create a cross tab query that can do multiple calculations. On the wizard this is not possible. I believe that this can be achieved by writing an SQL program instead of using the wizards. Has anyone ever tried this successfully, and if so, how did you write the language?
