SQL Server 6.5 to SQL Server 2000

Can a database in SQL 6.5 be migrated to
SQL 2000 ? If so … what is the pain level.
I know migration from 6.5 to 7.0 is nearly
seemless but prefer the one step approach by
skipping 7.0.
