SQL7 Enterprise Manager performance

SQL7 Enterprise Manager performs very poorly on my IBM ThinkPad 600x (PIII, 500MHZ, 128MB) with WIndows 2000 Professional, SP1. It takes several minutes to do things every other machine I have tested does in seconds. My old NT4 machine processor washalf as fast and only had 64MB but Enterprise Manager performed much better than it does on my new machine. Has anyone else seen this problem? Does anyone know how to fix this?
