Start menu and sysem bar disappeared.

I’m running W2K Pro on IBM machine in NT/W2K network. Login script run by SMS. Everything was fine until there was an unexpected shutdown. After that, when I started the machine, the start menu and the associated bar has dsappeared. Everything else is running perfectly fine.
Any help appreciated..
