Static or Floating window script for IE4

I have a floating or static window script on a web site that works for (almost) all browsers except IE4. It gives a error in script message on every pagein IE4, however, oncw you click OK it functions properly. Any Ideas? Should I give up hope on IE4? Do you need more info? PLEASE HELP! Thanx in advance.
