Still problems w/WIN2k server setup

Okay here I go again:)

I have a textbook from MS called:
Windows 2000 server
It is for a class that I will be teaching.
It comes w/a student cd and an instrcutor cd.
It has a time stamped cd w/w2k server software.

Problem: after I have installed the software and begin to configure my server, it sets up the nic w/the following : Problem is that it keeps setting the nic to:
ip 10.10.1.1
sub 255.0.0.0
gate 192.168.0.1

and the dns 127.0.0.1

so when i try to setup active directory, it fails w/a statement of can not find DNS server.

all is local. not on net.

I can’t get it to setup AD as it wil say that the DNS has to be setup. I have set it up but it must be doing something wrong. Can you help!
