Stop Error Bad_Pool_Caller

A user running Windows 2000 Profession as a workstation when she shuts down the system goes to a BSOD with a Stop error: Bad_Pool_Caller. Tech Net claims installing the latest SP will solve the issue. I reinstalled (again) SP2 but the error still appears. Each time the system reboots itself after flashing the error.
