stuck in power save mode

dell pc with win 2k pro. on the screen it says monitor in power save mode activate using pc. when you try using pc nothing happens it’s like it’s hung. had it unpluged for the weekend and it’s still acts hung when you power up. it does not even boot the busy light just stays on. any comments would be great. thanks
